SciStride
Privacy Notice
SciStride supports Singapore Primary 3–6 Science learning. We collect and process account details, learning records, answers, marks, comments and basic activity logs to provide our services, maintain security and improve reliability.
AI marking: Written answers may be assessed by AI. Only the question, its model answer and marking points, and the written answer are sent to the AI service; names and account details are not. Results are not always accurate and may be reviewed and changed by authorised teachers.
Data protection: We do not sell personal data or use pupil work for advertising. Children's personal data is given a higher standard of protection. Authorised service providers, including those outside Singapore, may process data to operate SciStride, subject to applicable data protection requirements. If a data breach could cause significant harm, we will tell the people affected, or their parents or guardians, and the Personal Data Protection Commission, as the law requires.
Children: A child under 13 needs a parent's or guardian's consent before an account is created. When a school or tuition centre creates accounts for its students, it obtains that consent and decides how its students' data is used, and SciStride handles that data on its behalf. Families give consent for their own children. Student accounts are never public or searchable.
Retention: Learning records are generally retained for up to 24 months after marking, subject to operational and legal requirements. Account deletion is subject to applicable retention and backup procedures.
Website statistics: On our public pages only, and only if you choose “Accept statistics”, we use Google Analytics to count visits. We do not send names, accounts or pupil work. You can change your choice at any time with “Statistics choice” at the bottom of the page.
Your choices: To request access, correction or deletion of personal data, or to withdraw consent, please use Contact Us on our website. Organisations may opt in to the use of their questions to identify general question patterns. This option is disabled by default.
